Kwik Fit Insurance

Kwik Fit Insurance is celebrating its 15th anniversary, attributing its successful decade and a half to its people-focused approach.
The broker, which is based in Lanarkshire, employs in excess of 1,000 people at its Uddingston call centre and has seen its policy book rise from 20,000 in 1995 to exceed 1 million today.
When the firm began it had less than 100 staff, of which 22 remain with the firm, many in senior posts.
Kwik Fit Insurance, part of Kwik Fit Financial Services, has cited its engagement with staff as the critical component of its success.

Kwik Fit Financial Services’ MD Brendan Devine has said that the firm is well aware that many call centres are not brilliant places to work at, and has responded by doing all it can to give its employees a superior working environment.
One additional advantage to making Kwik Fit Insurance a good firm to work for is that it has saved an estimated quarter of a million pounds in recruitment costs by retaining staff.
Employees at the firm enjoy a chill-out room equipped with a bar and a PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
Kwik Fit Insurance also engages in charitable activities, and recently a quartet of bikers from the firm rose £10,000 for the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill in Glasgow, a sum which Kwik Fit Insurance doubled to make it a £20,000 donation
